Ministries of Helps
We welcome members to join any of the Ministries of Helps. Prerequisites include the completion of New Members' Class. We invite you to participate in Christian education classes, and church services. Below is a listing of the ministries within New Jerusalem.
NEW JERUSALEM INTERVENTION MINISTRY TEAM (IM)
Our Purpose: To assist in areas where it appears that people are experiencing some type of distress or have the inability to maintain appropriate control in a church setting. The Intervention Team consists of individuals who have a working knowledge and/or are licensed as a Social Worker or Mental Health and Substance Abuse therapist. The IM Team functions as prevention and intervention team as well as a crisis team. Confidentiality is absolutely essential.
Deacon Daniel Hall, Coordinator
The men and women who attend to the needs of the Rev. L.W. & Ella Owens Educational Center, and who prepare the hall for events hosted in the facility.
Rosa Burnett, Coordinator
Members specializing in culinary arts who prepare delectable cuisine for special occasions including banquets, funeral repasts, luncheons, and receptions.
Carolyn Bracy-Straham, Coordinator
NURSES AND HEALTH TEAM
Persons medically trained to minister to the physical needs of the parishioners, and who assist in the distribution of information to keep parishioners in good health.

A ministry of encouragement, the Philadelphia Ministry is comprised of persons who show love and empathy in serving the bereaved, shut-in, and the lonely.

Men and women who have been trained to secure the premises, church campus area, and the parking area.
Jerome Burnett, Chief Officer
Those men and women who serve through welcoming and seating guests, distributing literature, and providing direction to both members and visitors
The members of this auxiliary extend a hearty welcome and provide directions to visitors as well as members. The Hospitality Committee members greet everyone that walks through the doors of NJFGBC with love, friendliness, and kindness. The ultimate aim is to start their day of worship with a feeling that God loves-and we do too.
