We welcome members to join any of the Music Ministries. Prerequisites include the completion of new member’s classes, attendance at several rehearsals, participation in Christian education classes, and church services. Below is a listing of the music ministries within the New J.
THE NJFGBC INSPIRATIONAL VOICES
Open to adults from the age of 18 and up to participate in choral, classical, traditional, and contemporary gospel musical selections suitable for worship services. The “IV’s” rehearse every first and third Saturday at 12 noon, and render service every first and third Sunday. With 12 albums to their credit, the Inspirational Voices have been nominated for Grammy, Soul Train, and Stellar Awards, and are the winners of the Flint Area Gospel Music “Best Adult Choir Award”.
THE NJFGBC KING’S MEN CHOIR
Open to men of all ages, the King’s Men specializes in TTBB harmonies in contemporary and traditional gospel styling. Winners of the Flint Area Gospel Music “Best Male Choir” Award, the King’s Men rehearse every second Saturday, at 1 p.m., and minister every second and fifth Sunday.
THE NJFGBC NEW DESTINY MUSIC MINISTRY
From the ages of 18-36, New Destiny specializes in contemporary gospel music, placing emphasis on scriptural correct gospel music. Energetic and revitalizing, New Destiny rehearses every fourth Saturday at 12 noon, and minister every fourth Sunday.
THE NJFGBC PRAISE TEAMS
A select group of singers, the Adult Praise Team, the Men’s Praise team, and New Destiny Praise Team usher the congregation in the presence of God through praise and worship.
THE NJFGBC BAND
The musicians who combine their skills to accompany the various musical aggregations of NJFGBC.

THE NJFGBC LITURGICAL DANCE MINISTRY
The Liturgical Dance Ministry is a group of dancers of all ages and genders whose purpose is to usher in the presence of God thru praise and worship.
THE NEW J MIME MINISTRY
The Mime Ministry is a group of all ages and gender whose purpose is to usher in the presence of God through silent worship, dance and interpretation.
